Not just friends, believe me.
In fact, since I began watching episodes of friends in english, I realised that most of the series and movies that I watched were much better in the original version. And now, I can't watch a "Friends" in french anymore, it's really awfull! The jokes aren't funny, the voices are ridiculous, and even the background laughs are not the same! They even changed rachel's voice in the middle of a season, which is really really a shame.
Anyway, watching Friends made me like watching movies in english, and every time I can, I do it! I begin first withou any subtitle, and if it's too hard, I put the english subtitles, and generally that's enough for me. I also watch a lot of other series (american series in general), and I'm gonna give you my favourites:
Lost!
I'm a fan since the beginning! I love the caracters (Kate, Locke, Hugo, Ecko... they're great!), and every time I see an episode, I just can't wait for the next! The only thing I can critisize is that sometimes, there are really unusefull episodes, in which nothing happens.
Desperate housewives
that's a good show, but the second season is really disapointing, and it's getting worth and worth episode after episode. But I liked the first season very much!
Weeds
it's an american serie with only one season, but I found it irresistible! It's about a young and beautiful woman whose husband died recently, and to make money, she has to sell weed. The main caracter is really good (and really charming too), and I hope that the public will be be more interested in the show, because the first season didn't have the success it deserved.
My name is Earl
It's a "small" and nice serie about a guy who wins 100,000 dollars at the lottery, and he believes that karma has something to do about that. So he decides to make a list of all the bad things he did in his life, and to try to repair all theses things. in every episod, he focus on one thing of the list, and it brings most of the time very funny situations!
The Simpsons
I love this show, but it's honestly the only one that I like better in french than in english! the voices are much more funny in french, and I have to say that I don't get the jokes in english. I also want to thank my architecture teacher who makes at least one reference to Homer in each class.
